Hi, I'm Lori
I have been an active volunteer at Nichols Hills Enterprise Elementary since my oldest child, Henry, started in prekindergarten six years ago. I have served as PTA president, treasurer, assistant treasurer, and homeroom parent many times! Henry started at Classen School for Advanced Studies Middle School this fall and his sister, Kate, is in the third grade at Nichols Hills.
In my professional life, I have a nonprofit consulting business, working with organizations to help them advance their missions. Since founding Bowman Strategies over two years ago, I have had the privilege to work with some incredible organizations like United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County, ReMerge, Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity, and A Chance to Change. Prior to Bowman Strategies, I worked at Harold Hamm Diabetes Center at the University of Oklahoma, serving as Development Officer and helping to ensure they had adequate resources to be a world leader in diabetes research, patient care, and prevention. I started my career in Washington DC where I spent a decade working in public policy in the United States Senate and in the private sector.
I am a product of the Lawton Public Schools and attended the University of Oklahoma and Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. My husband, Jeffrey, also attended Lawton Public Schools and has been an active volunteer at the school, currently serving as treasurer of the Nichols Hills Enterprise Elementary board.
I believe wholeheartedly that every child should have access to high quality education regardless of their neighborhood. It is critical that Oklahoma City continues to strive for equitable education, expanded mental health support for students, and community investment and partnerships that will benefit our public schools.
